Wow! Cannot believe it is November. It is just crazy how fast the days and months are going.

So, how are you doing? Good? Hope so. We are doing well. School has gotten off with some hitches but they got worked out. :)
Thought I needed to throw a 'Gold Party' this coming Monday, Nov. 8. If you want more information..email me (junglegirl2@gmail.com)
Pretty much bring your un-wanted gold or silver pieces possibly receive BIG MONEY!!   :) hey, who would not want some extra cash!!   :-)

Jessica and neighbor friends worked hard out side this morning pulling weeds and cleaning up our back yard! Feels great and looks so much better! Thanks friends!!
Feeling pretty tired these days. I have fibromyalgia. Which most days don't bother me. I feel blessed that the disease does not have a hold on me.  I have many family and friends who pray for me daily. Thank you Lord!

Take care and God bless you.

Changes up ahead

Howdy all. Kristi here. Just thought I'd blog tonight and update about some family news. :-)

Our family as you know has one foot in home schooling and the other foot in the public school system. Jessica has been a home scholar through Parkview School since 8th grade. Well, we have been praying, talking, having family meetings, discussing with friends about moving on and forward through another home school program.

We have decided to go through River Springs Charter for the last two years of high school. (Jessica is in 11th grade) We did our home work and research and just thought RSCS was a right fit for Jessica. She is wanting and needing to branch out and become more independent than she all ready is.. :-). She wants to pursue her dreams to become an  architect and photographer. We feel RSCS will open doors into that world. :-) Jessica and I will be meeting with our ES (educational specialist) on Monday morning. We are excited, sad, nervous, glad, humbled, blessed, etc... all at one time!

We will definitely miss our Parkview Family!!

Thank you for all the encouragements, well wishes, prayers, kindness that our family and friends have blessed us with. Know you are in our thoughts and prayers!!

Will keep you updated.

Happy Monday, Sept. 13, 2010

Good morning. Hope your day is starting with a smile. Praise God for the nice cool morning here in Southern Cali. :-) Well, we have been in 'school' for a couple of weeks now. Becca seems to like her school. Remember she is in a public school. She is taking  Culinary Academy the next 3 years not including this year. So far she loves it. Actually met her teacher for next year and so nice. :-) Have not met any of her teachers as of yet. 'Back to School' is soon approaching. Excited about high school for Becca. Soon the clubs will be meeting...yeah.
Emailed the person in charge of the Christian Athletics Asso. and they will be meeting soon. Great!
Hoping Becca gets into that club. (meaning...hoping she is interested in joining)    :-)

Jessica and I are started out slow.  Have not received all her high school 'school' stuff, yet. She has her books.
She has a light load this year. So glad for that! Trying to get myself together and take care of life stuff for Jessi, like getting her into the DMV for her permit test. :-) Watch out world!  ;-) And doctors called. Nothing serious just normal check-ups. :-)

Mark got the promotion at work!!!  PRAISE GOD!!! and THANK YOU LORD FOR THAT BLESSING!!!
He is doing so well, thank you Jesus!! Loves his job and co-workers. :-)  Awesome place to work! (his words)
He is now busy announcing football games...A local high school and a local college. Love it!!

As for me, well just trying to keep up with the family. Will be busy soon helping Becca Culinary Class..excited about that one! And will try and get my foot in the door at her high school. Fun times ahead.

OK..off to work I go...home work that is.  ;-) Have a great day!

September 2010

School has started in the Clinton home!

Our youngest, Rebecca has started high school! She is a freshman. Two years ago we moved to new home and new city...which means new school district! Rebecca was not wanting to move school. Since July we have changed our minds. :)  :)  She is loving her new school and made some friends. She is taking a culinary art program there and loves it. Has some pretty nice kids in the class. Likes the teacher as well...always a good thing.  :) Instead of regular PE class she is taking a aerobics/nutrition class, she seems to like that class as well. :)
So far so good. She is so brave and a good trooper!!  We are proud of her!!

Jessica is our oldest. She  is attending an Independent Study Program again this year. She has truly bloomed into the role of big sister and is maturing. She has only 4 classes this year. Time to start looking into colleges...yikes!!
She might be taking a photography class at a community college close by, next semester.  We went to an Art Gallery one day and browsed about. Jessica started talking to one of the artist and she (the artist) said that Jessica has a "good eye" and she liked her photos. Told Jessica to write her email address down and would contact her when they have another contest..say what?!  Wow..so proud of her!!!  She is an amazing photographer!!

Mark is on his 4th year at his work!! Way to go Mark!!  He is loving his job and coworkers!!
He will be busy now that football has started up.. :)  On the side Mark works at a local high school announcing their football games..which He LOVES!! Does a great job too!!  He also announces at a local community college near by.  Awesome Babe!!

Me..keeping busy with being the CEO at home (  :)  ), high school activities, church volunteering and being good friend. :)  I love my God, family, and friends.

We are truly blessed! Thank you for your prayers. Know that you are in our prayers.

August 2010

Howdy everyone!  Update on life in the Clinton house...

Jessica is in PA with gma. (grandma-Ellie). This is a present from her gma for Jessi 16th birthday!
She is having a blast meeting everyone. They will be back Aug. 9.
Rebecca is at youth camp with our church for a week.

SO, that means Mark and I are alone for a five days!! We have had a nice quiet time together. Went out on a date with our friends/neighbors. Had a nice dinner and good conversation.
Tomorrow is Costco day!   :-)

The girls will be getting ready for school come middle of August. Jessica has been keeping up with her French.
Rebecca- will be attending FUHS. She is a bit nervous but we know she will be fine. Hoping to get in with a group..either with her team on the culinary class or stay updated with her girls on the basketball team.
Jessica- will cont. at Parkview (independent studies). She will be taking some hard subjects this year.

Mark- is doing great at Verizon Wireless regional office. Just was "promoted" to the CRT (customer retention team). Which he enjoys! :)
Kristi- As for me...I am just trying to keep up with the family.  :)  I am pretty much the chauffeur, for now. Am actually thinking about getting my foot in the door at Becca school this year. I will be volunteering in the office area and maybe in classroom.

Thanks for all your prayers!

Live, love, and laugh

High Tea Party for our oldest is being planned. These are a few photos of the costumes that women and men wore. :) She is so excited. We are inviting about 40-50 family and friends.  So far we have 20 coming...hoping for more.
It is hard to imagine having a sixteen year old daughter. She is growing up...too fast.
I have some amazing friends helping me with the food, decorations, planning. I appreciate all of them!!
I have a friend who bakes these amazing scones and cupcakes. She is one of the caterer .
Tomorrow will be going to the church to see what objects we can borrow for the day..awesome!
Will have to keep you informed of the progress. Thanks for thinking.

It's been awhile!

OK. I see it has been awhile since i have blogged. Ooops. Life has been busy here in the Clinton home.
Mark- has been busy at work and he has been busy with his side job, which is announcing at a local high school.

Kristi (ME)- I have been busy being a "mom". Planning/preparing for Jessica (oldest daughter) 16th birthday party. Her theme is "Light Afternoon Tea". And home schooling stuff..which is so so much this year!! Yikes! Right now she is taking eight classes. She loves it though.

Jessica- Well, let's see here. Busy with her eight classes, blogging, volunteering, and going on mission trips. :-) Oh and I forgot...reading!!!
She and some of our youth and parents and leaders from our church will be leaving for Mexicali in one week. She is very excited!!

Rebecca- She is busy being 14 years old. She loves school, hip hop dance club, youth group, and music.
Getting ready for high school. She cannot wait till high school..will be attending her daddy past high school.

Last, we are doing good. Mark is not the healthiest right now. He has some leg issues we are taking care of. But all N all we are pretty healthy.
Our newest addition to the family is a car..yup i said it. A car. Our neighbor was selling their car and we bought it. :) It has been nice having two cars again. We said our goodbyes to our white van. It was much needed good bye.
At least we did get some money out of the deal AND it payed for Mexicali. Yeah!
All for now. Hopefully, I will not take so long to blog again.
Happy Easter!

We had our first choir this past Christmas or two.  Well, anyhow they sang beautifully!! Well done gals and guys. :)  Just thought i'd throw this pix in...not really anything to do w/ Easter but it is a nice photo. :)
