Just keep swimming :)

It has been a month now. Hasn't really changed my life but do feel a bit better.
Mark and the girls are taking the capsules. Mark's leg has been healing better since he has been taken them. So, we shall see.
Loving the chocolate shakes. So good.

Family life is hard. We know God is in control. It has been hard trying to deal with our financial stuff. Trying to stay a float. God has and is so awesome. He has been taking care of our basic needs.
So thankful for a nice home, two cars (that we own)...just need to service them, two great girls, healthy, and great support from our church family. Thank you Lord.

Thanks for praying for us. Know that we are praying for you.

New Strategy

Mark and I are realizing that just eating healthy is not working to fight the bulge. :o)
So, we are trying a new tactic. Juice Plus+ (juiceplus.com) is the new addition to our family. The girls and us are new members.
This will be day 5. Not feeling a change but it takes time.
We are not just taking the capsule, we will be exercising 30 minutes a day and drinking more water. We know this will take hard work, dedication, mind over matter, and lots and lots or praying!! We also know it took years to put on the fat and it may take time to take off the fat.
We have a strong support group! We are very grateful to our family and friends!

Other than that we have no new news to tell. Thanks for thinking of us and praying for us.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Last Day of "traditional school" today!!

hello. hope everyone is well this fine day of June. i am doing well. last day of "traditional school" today for our youngest daughter. Yah!! so excited!! she is all mine, now!!! (inside joke)

jessica had a great year. she finish all her work each month and turned it in on time(most of the time) she has a hard load 2009/10 school year. we are hoping to take a foreign lang. in 11th grade at the community college close by. if she does, she will have 2 years in one year of the school year. one semester is equal to one year. so, if she takes french both semesters than...well, you get the idea. we are so proud of jessica. she has an idea of what she want to do for a living. she would love to become a hippo-therapy person. they work with therapy horses to help special kids. great program. she has a knack with special kids. she kept busy with school work, community service, church youth group, and family stuff.

rebecca had a great year as well. she drove right into "traditional school" after being home-school one year. she met some good friends and had some good teachers. she kept herself busy with school work, home work, parties, church youth group and family stuff.

mark-had a great year! he works for verizon wireless. he enjoys his job there. he also works for el dorado high school as there "announcer". he loves that job!!

me- had a busy year but a great one as well. i stayed busy with the kiddos and all that comes with having teenagers. i am involved with our church, prayer ministry, work in the nursery, cookie mininstry (new), and looking forward to working with our youth group soon.
love being a stay at home mom but, when am i at home! :o)

getting there :o)

We are just about all moved in to our Fullerton place we call "our cottage" . We love it here. So quiet, so clean, family friendly, and we can actually walk around the neighborhood. :)

The girls are doing well. Jessica is getting ready for Mexicali. Her and a bunch of our youth group (HS) and some adult leaders are leaving this Saturday morning. They will be gone for one week.
Our church is not the only ones who go. Many friends churches HS and adults go.
She is excited. Thanks for your prayers!

Rebecca- is doing well in school. She made the Principals list last quater. Yah! She is now 13! Oh my. She just started her own business. She wants to help moms who need an extra hand. After school on Wednesday and Fridays. Moms stay home and get some cleaning done, pay bills, or just relax. What a great idea!

Mark - Praise God has a job. Has a great job! He is doing well-Praise God! Loving his job.
He was moved up in the company-Praise God. We give God all the glory for the good things that is happening job wise. :) Mark is busy with work and sports. He is "the voice" of El Dorado High School. yah! Loves that job as well...probably more. :o)

Me- well not much there. :o) Just trying to keep up with un-packing boxes.

I love going to bible study at church, Love being on the prayer committee, and making meals for family for those who need an extra hand with that.

Thanks,
kristi

March 2009

I see I have not written anything for a while. Sorry to those who read my post.

OK well I have some new news. We are moving! After 11 years of being in one place we are changing locations. :)
This is such a God thing! Let me tell you a story:
A great friend of the family has asked me to join a "mentor" program at church. I said, "no thanks" for years. And well this year she signed me up along w/ her daughter. After the last meeting a new friend came up to me and told me what she does for a living-apartment manager. What?! I could not believe it! She told me that they had some empty apartments and would i like to take a look. Well, i said, "yes". And the story begins. A few days before this my husband, mark told me that he made a executive decision and paid 2 months rent. That would mean we were paid up until the end of March. What?! You mean we could actually do this...move! So, we talked and prayed. It just felt too right to pass up. We called our new friend and said, "Yes!"
As we speak now i am packing, sorting, and moving into our new place. We plan on living there for a long time. It has two bathrooms, a w/d hook-up, and dishwasher. we have two bedrooms now and so does this new place. :)
Another cool thing that happened is- we just bought our washer/dryer yesterday! What a deal!! The man was so helpful! He gave us a fabulous deal! A washer/dryer AND fridge!! <3
To see God's handy work is so awesome! Words cannot describe it!!

We praise God for this blessing! We are so grateful to Him! The fact that, i went to this mentor program to get mentored not meet a new friend and a new place to live! God puts us where we need to be! Wow!!

God is good!

January

Cannot believe that it is mid-term. Crazy!

Jessica has changed her venue. She is thinking about becoming a message or physical therapist.
We are in the middle of checking out the R.O.P. website. We are looking at maybe being a translator with an Christian organization. Okay so we need to do some more talking and praying. :) She is keeping busy with community service projects as well. MOPS is one of them. She enjoys working with the kiddos.

Rebecca is doing so well at school. She is making A's and learning lots. Loving her classes still. :)
Soon she will be in Drama class...fun stuff! Love drama.

Mark is loving his job at Verizon Wireless. His new position is great.

I am keeping busy with the girls and i am involved with a few bible studies at church.
I am also going to be busy with the yearbook club at Parkview. Fun!

God Bless you.
