Update on family life

Good day to all. We have made one change in our daily living. Our youngest child has decided to attend a local public junior high. So, last Friday was her first day. The day went pretty smoothly. Needed to take a math placement test for class. Did all right. She was not expecting the test...but that is life.
So far the week is going pretty well. She is liking the classes...so far. She does know a few people from previous years in public school. She is meeting new people in her classes. At lunch time, she is alone. Yesterday, she went up to some gals and asked to sit with them. I told her she was brave and that is great! I guess they did not talk to her but she did it...broke the ice.
Our oldest is home schooled. The transition is slow. But she did start her "school work" a couple of weeks ago. So, she ahead of herself. I have her in Aleks. I believe that will help her in math.
Aleks is a great math program that we have purchase through our home school program. You can go to their website and purchase on your own. Aleks.com
I highly encourage those who have kids in High School try Aleks. Great source for extra help in all kinds of math. You can see their progress. Very cool!
Our oldest is teaching herself French. She wants to move to France and be an translator. In January she will be attending Fullerton College. They have a great program for homeschool high school age kids (9th - 12th). She will take college level French 1. Super!!
OK this is the longest I have typed in awhile. :o)
Enjoy your day!
~Kris
